Hello everyone, I’m CN Watch. I am passionate about sharing my watch knowledge. I do real vs. false comparisons, disassemblies and honest evaluations.Rolex Air-King
This video takes a closer view of the latest release from the Clean Factory: the Rolex Air-King M126900-0001. How close does it come to the original piece? Many watch enthusiasts want to know the answer.
This is Clean Factory’s first attempt to reproduce a less-popular “cold door” Rolex. They’ve always focused on the most popular models. This makes sense, from a business perspective. The Air-King was a surprising release, especially since it is considered an entry-level collection and less popular among the authentic Rolex collections.
Prior to Clean Factory, the Air-King was only replicated by small factories, with results that were often cheap and of low quality. Clean Factory is now in the game and expectations are high. They have earned a lot of trust through their consistent quality, and many watch enthusiasts are excited to see what this new model has in store.
In this review we will examine whether the Clean Factory Air-King delivers on quality and detail–enough for it to be worthy of your attention, and perhaps, your collection.

The watch is entirely made of stainless steel 904L, which Rolex calls “Oystersteel”. There are no differences in the material between the original and the replica.
Clean Factory Air-King is made from the original mold. The shape of the case and the curves on the sides are also replicated. The overall thickness and size are therefore accurate. The caseback is polished and the brushing of the case is done in the same manner as the original piece.
The genuine Rolex Air-King is fitted with the 3230, which comes from the 32-series, while this replica of high quality also has a 3230. This model does not include a calendar, so there is no need for dual-setting mechanisms. The performance of the movement remains consistent and reliable.

I personally think that this dial is already a great result. The Clean Factory Air-King does not replicate the natural oxidation of the original version, but this doesn’t affect the overall authenticity. The craftsmanship is so refined that it does not give the impression of a fake at all. It actually enhances the appeal and credibility of Clean Factory’s Rolex reproductions. The dial is a classic and clean design that fits well in the formal watch category.

This section compares the hands of the original version with the Clean Factory’s. The Clean Factory pays attention to details, so even though there are some minor differences, it is not enough to cause concern for most buyers. The central axis on the original hands, for example, is hollow and has a raised edge around it. Clean’s version is similar in structure and shape to the original by about 90%.
We’ve always advised watch lovers to prioritize dials with no color differences. This helps prevent any obvious signs that a replica is present. Clean Factory Air King does an excellent job in this regard.
The dial text in white and green is very well done, and was only finished after a close inspection of the original to remove any rough edges. The text on the Clean version is slightly lighter due to lack of oxidation. However, the genuine version has a darker tone. Both the yellow crown logo, and the green “ROLEX”, lettering is crisp and clear. Overall, there’s a high level of consistency.

The rehaut is clearly visible through the sapphire blue crystal. The font and the crown logo have been crafted with precision and consistency. These subtle details are what often separates high-quality replicas and lower-end copies.
The hour markers are made of polished metal with luminous filling. This includes Arabic numerals, the inverted triangle and the Arabic numbers at 12 o’clock. Clean Factory has matched the original Rolex in this area. The luminous material is the same tone under magnification as the original. The level of finish speaks volumes about the quality of craftsmanship that Clean Factory offers.

The nickname “Air-King 369” comes from the oversized numerals at 3, 6, and 9 on the dial, giving the watch a distinct look. While the layout may appear busy at first glance, the functionality remains simple—it’s all about design aesthetics.
When it comes to the green second hand, there’s an interesting contrast. The genuine Rolex version has a slightly aged, darker metallic tone, whereas the Clean Factory Air-King features a fresher, brighter finish. Ironically, the original might come across as less refined to someone unfamiliar with the brand. In comparison, Clean Factory’s version appears crisper and more polished—arguably giving off a better visual impression overall.

When you look at the Rolex logo on the raised crown, it’s a three-dimensional, raised Rolex crown. The five-pronged crown of the Clean Factory version looks slightly stretched or elongated. In contrast, the genuine Rolex has a fuller and more compact look. It’s one of the only visual differences between the two and is worth noting.

Let’s now examine the structure of crown area. You’ll see the model number and logo inside. There’s not much to notice here. The crown section does not reveal anything about authenticity. There’s no need to worry about these little details.

Let’s now talk about the strap. This is a pretty standard piece of craftsmanship. Nothing special. The factory can outsource the production of straps to another manufacturer if it does not have the capability to do so.
You’ll also notice that on some buckles, the engraving can appear to be oversized or faulty. The Clean Factory Air-King, on the other hand, has much finer details right out of the package. It’s difficult to tell the difference between them unless you are an expert. Personaly, I find the font engraving at Clean Factory to be more accurate. The spacing and alignment is perfect. This part is worth referring to if you’re doing a visual comparison.

I would like to finish by showing you how to identify Air-King’s latest version. Look at the dial in the 1 o’clock position. You’ll notice the “05.” The older version has only a single “5”, while the more recent one features “05.” The right-side of the crown now has two shoulder protectors, whereas the older Air King only had one. Both upgrades are based off the most recent original design.
